ABOUT mary trimble

I'm an award-winning writer, producer, educator and poet. I began my career as an assistant editor at Harcourt Brace Jovanovich/School Division and went on to teach poetry and creative writing to children in schools across the state via the Illinois Arts Council Writer-in-Residence program. Through my company, Thought-Fox Communications, I wrote/produced hundreds of commercial videos, educational programs and apps for businesses and organizations including Glencoe McGraw Hill, Chicago Program Group/WTTW, American Playhouse, Voice of America, Indiana University/Library of Congress, the National Safety Council, and dozens of corporations.

I'm the recipient of Telly Awards, the Aurora Award, Philo Award, and MCAI Award.  My BA is from New College, Florida and my Master's in English is from the University of Illinois/Chicago Circle.
